Sarah and Jack met at UNC-Chapel Hill, but were just friends during the three years they overlapped (really!). They even sat next to each other for an entire semester in a journalism class, but Jack forgot about this lol.
After graduation, Jack moved to San Francisco and Sarah moved to DC. They loosely stayed in touch throughout the years via mutual friends. However, during the pandemic they both happened to be in NC visiting friends and immediately hit it off.
After a few FaceTimes, Jack flew to DC to take Sarah on a date. The rest is history. They dated long distance for 1.5 years, and both moved to Brooklyn in 2021. Jack proposed in their Williamsburg apartment on April 27th, 2024.
